What is a Service Package?

Supplement your school licence, local-authority licence or company licence with a Service Agreement (SA).

An SA gives you access to a number of services and benefits.
In brief, with an SA you obtain the following (in relation to the programs covered by your licence):

  • the latest versions of the programs – for download and/or on a CD
  • access to the program versions for Microsoft Windows, Mac and Google Docs
  • installation and program support
  • downloadable one-year licences for home use for all users covered by the SA
  • the opportunity to order single-user licences at a reduced price

Upgrades

If you have signed an SA, we will provide you with the latest versions of the programs, as downloadable files or on a CD. You will receive admin login credentials that enable you to collect the full program versions through the Habitat service.

Free access to all program versions

With an SA, you have access to all available versions of the programs, meaning that you will be able to use the programs under Microsoft Windows, on Macs and in Google Docs.

Support

We always provide both installation support and program support. If your CD is lost or damaged, you can always obtain a new one from us.

One-year licence

Those who are covered by the SA (pupils, students, employees, etc.) may download the program(s) for home use under ‘one-year licenses’. The programs are downloaded via Habitat and may be used for a year. If the SA is renewed, the programs can be downloaded again and used for another year, and so on.

Private licence

During the term of the SA, users covered by it may buy personal single-user licences at a 50% discount. Unlike a one-year licence, such a private licence is valid until further notice and does not require annual downloads of the programs.

Term of the SA

The SA is similar to a subscription. It takes effect immediately upon order. The customer is invoiced annually in advance and the SA runs for a twelve-month term. Near the end of each term, Oribi sends a new invoice. If the customer does not wish to renew the SA, Oribi must be contacted before the end of the current term.

Cost of the SA

At present, the annual price of an SA is 35% of the total cost of the relevant program licence(s) according to the current year’s price list.
